Snow ruins everything.
Okay, perhaps I'm exaggerating a little bit, however the icy roads make driving far too nerve wracking, so I've spent 90% of my weekend cooped up inside my house. At least it's warm, I suppose. I ventured out briefly yesterday afternoon for lunch with Ron and Popoff, and then headed back to my house and settled in for an evening of Facebook. That's right, I'm just that cool.
The worst part of it all was that my mom, who is newly single and therefore rediscovering freedom was out late with her friends partying, as I sat home bored and lonely. At 4 am I was woken from a peaceful sleep in my amazing bed by the doorbell ringing, my dog barking, and drunk 40 year old women screaming "Krysta open the door, we are cold!". So I let them in and crawled back into my bed only to have them pile into my room moments later, pronouncing that we were going to sing karaoke. I took care of the drunks, feeding them chocolate and fighting sleep to keep them company, until I finally gave up at 5 am and went back to bed for the night.
On the bright side of this weekend, I made a new friend. Any Twilight fans out there? Well, picture Edward Cullen... he's the spitting image. Oh yeah, he's pretty. He works for the same company as I do, and is new to the province so we are now friends via Facebook and Facebook chat. No, don't get ahead of yourselves, I have no interest in dating him or anything of the sort, I just thought I'd make it known that I have a new friend, who is very attractive. Lucky me.
Back to work tomorrow.
4 sleeps until the work Christmas party
5 until our friends Christmas party.
18 until CHRISTMAS.
